John Goldsmith

John is an active angel investor, whose portfolio includes market leaders such as Betterment, Boxed Wholesale, Bread Finance (board member), Gerson Lehrman Group (board member), Kyruus and Phosphorous as well as earlier-stage ventures including Amava, Axial Market, Boomtown!, Concourse, Debtsy, Eave, Ecree, HowGood, Indigo Education, Openly and Vetcove. Prior investments include Datalot, Lux Research, Recombine and Intego, plus a bunch of experiments that didn’t attain meaningful success.

John’s previous experience was in the leveraged buy-out world as a Partner with AEA Investors, where his investments included: Water Corporation (now NYSE: WAT), Mettler Toledo (now NYSE: MTD), Dal-Tile (IPO, and now a major division of Mohawk Industries – NYSE: MHK), Empire Berol Corp. (acquired by Newell Brands – NYSE: NWL), IDS (IPO, and now part of Li & Fung – SEHK: 0494).
